[ff. 93-103v, blank] Paper (watermark unidentified because of the black ink and the closely-written text), ff. ix + 103; 153 × 105 (130-134 × 91-96) mm. 12(first leaf is front pastedown) 28(flyleaves) 3-88 912 1010 11-1212 138 142(last leaf is back pastedown). Quire signature, “f,” visible in lower inside corner of first leaf of quire 8 (text begins with quire 3). 38-41 long lines, frame ruled in lead. Written in an italic script. Paragraph marks in black. Contemporary foliation in arabic numerals in upper right corner. Bound in contemporary black cloth with evidence of 2 black fore edge ties; gilt edges. The date 1596 written in by another hand on f. 1 following the title. On f. ii, the cancelled pressmark “P./5.” in the hand of John Egerton (1579-1649), 1st Earl of Bridgewater, and a later pressmark “T.1./5.” in the hand of the second Earl (1622-86). Bookplate of Bridgewater Library and shelfmark label, 34 A 5, inside front cover. Acquired by Henry E. Huntington with the Bridgewater Library in 1917 (see pp. 5-7). Bibliography: De Ricci, 133.
